Team Effort Making a Real Impact at Foodbank

We were given this amazing opportunity thanks to our ongoing partnership with Foodbank Queensland, a relationship that allows us to directly contribute to the wellbeing of local families doing it tough.
The team arrived ready to help and quickly saw just how important this work is. Foodbank shared that in some local schools, up to 28% of students arrive without food to start their day. It was a powerful reminder of the very real challenges many families are experiencing right here in our community.
With that in mind, the team set themselves a challenge: to beat the previous record of 200 hampers packed in three hours. Once the work began, it was all hands on deck. Everyone found their rhythm, jumped in where needed, and kept going until the very last item was packed.
By the end of the session, the team had packed an incredible 339 hampers, smashing the previous record and providing enough nutritious meal kits to support 339 families. Foodbank shared their gratitude, noting that programs like this simply wouldn’t be possible without volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved.
Beyond the numbers, the day was a meaningful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together with purpose. It was teamwork in its truest form, and a chance to give back to a community that continues to support us.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, represented The Ville precinct with pride, and helped make a genuine difference. Foodbank has passed on a certificate of appreciation and a group photo from the day, and they’ve welcomed the team back anytime for another round of hamper packing.
Well done to all involved, an outstanding effort for an important cause.
